Why Bonding Health is Poised for Growth and How Parents are Finally Waking Up to Their Own Needs

I’ve always believed we could do better, and that belief is what drives me every day at Bonding Health. Being a parent is one of the most rewarding but emotionally demanding experiences anyone can have. Yet, for so long, the focus has only been on how to manage our kids, especially when ADHD is in the mix. But what about the parents themselves? For too long, we’ve neglected the fact that parents need mental support too—and, thankfully, more and more parents are waking up to this.

Coming out of the pandemic, it’s been clearer than ever that we’re living in a world on edge. Inflation is skyrocketing, anxiety and depression rates are climbing, and the stress of simply keeping things together as a parent feels overwhelming. The demand for mental health services has far outpaced what’s available. This has created a massive gap—a shortage that leaves so many parents struggling to find the support they need. And it's dangerous, not just for individuals, but for families as a whole.

For me, this realization hits deeply. Growing up with ADHD, my parents did the best they could with what they knew at the time. They took me to see a psychiatrist—because that’s what was accessible—and we all leaned on medication as the solution. But here's the thing: psychological interventions—those tools and strategies that help you regulate your emotions, reframe your perspective, and actually manage ADHD—were never part of that equation. Not because they weren’t effective, but because they weren’t accessible to us.

And that’s where my passion for Bonding Health really comes from. I know firsthand how life-changing psychological interventions can be. The more I’ve learned about emotional regulation, the more it becomes clear that these tools would’ve made a huge difference in my own life growing up. And I’m sure my parents would have felt less helpless if they had these resources. That’s why my motivation is sky-high now—to make sure parents today don’t have to face the same struggles without support.

Most of the parents I know are familiar with ADHD medications. Many of us take them, and we see our therapists for relationship advice, stress management, and day-to-day issues. But when it comes to managing ADHD—the real nuts and bolts of it—there’s this massive gap in understanding. The interventions that work best for ADHD are often overlooked, not because they aren’t effective, but because parents don’t know they’re out there, or they seem too difficult to access.

That’s why at Bonding Health, we’re on a mission to change this narrative. Our app offers practical, research-backed interventions that parents can use for themselves and their kids. But more than that, we’re working to educate parents about the power of psychological interventions. These strategies are often the missing piece in the ADHD puzzle, helping families not just manage symptoms, but actually improve the day-to-day challenges that come with ADHD.

This is about making sure parents have the tools they need to manage their own stress and emotions, which in turn makes them better equipped to support their children. We’ve spent too long thinking we can handle it all ourselves, and I know from my own experience that we can’t. That’s not a sign of weakness—it's a sign of the times we’re living in.

The demand for mental health support is growing, and parents, in particular, are feeling the strain. The world has changed, and it’s time we change with it. Psychological interventions have been proven to help, but the only way they’ll make a difference is if they’re accessible and understood. That’s what Bonding Health is here to do—bring these life-changing tools into the hands of parents who need them, right when they need them the most.

We’re in a moment where parents are waking up to their own mental health needs, and it’s incredibly powerful. Bonding Health is poised to meet that need in a way that feels personal, practical, and real. And I’m so excited to be a part of this movement, not just as a CEO, but as someone who knows exactly how impactful these interventions can be—because I wish I had them growing up.

We can do better, and we will.
